With my veteran pitchers playing a middle of the road style baseball my young guns--Chris Young, Tim Lincecum and Micah Owings--have decided to give my team a boost.
My offense is showing my signs, albeit erratic, of life.

These two are the American Idol finalists...

FYI: Within the next two years they will combine to sell somewhere between 3-5 million CDs (or records for you older folks).

Going to see the San Francisco Giants versus the Houston Astros tonight over at AT&T park (classic baseball park name, eh?). Maybe tomorrow there will be some picture goodness for all three of you out there.

I've started referring to my team as "that bunch of bums."

Today's Update is Uhhhggggg!

I'll be updating this category as frequently as I can. Originally, the idea was for it to be a video blog but the results thus far in my fantasy league have been such that a video blog would most likely consist of me with my face flat against the computer desk...growling.
However, it's a long season and my team CANNOT be as bad as they have been for the first month of this 2007 season.

CNN's day-long top story has been about Prince Harry not being allowed to fight in Iraq. Part of the reasoning is that Harry has been specifically targeted by militant radical insurgent terroristic islamic fundamental gun and bomb people. The other reason is that there are like 7000 British soldiers in Iraq and their Prime Minister is resigning after 10 years almost entirely because of his support and because Britain has already started a withdrawal program.
This is not responsible news.

Great article. It's almost as if an after-school special on the Lifetime Network was written for the people of Oklahoma.

I went to high-school in East Harlem USA. As with most New York public schools (today included) the buildings were and are standing historic monuments to danger and asbestos and danger again. There was a "teacher" there, we'll call him M. M wasn't actually a teacher, he was sort of the head superintendent of the school. M oversaw all of the guys that did school security and handed out bus and train passes, The Art room was across from his office and one day a loud bang was heard, a groan and M was rushed off to the ER.
Turns out, he was opening or closing one of those super large and heavy public school windows, the thing dropped and almost lopped off his arm. When he returned, a few days later, he was sporting a gnarly scar, long and staple stitched. He told everyone who asked (and even those who didn't) that he came "this close" (he would show you half an inch between his fingers) from having his artery cut.
I've always wondered if he might change that story into some kind of knife story as the years went on.

post script:
They recently replaced those Public School windows (only 14 years after the fact). Their solution at the time was to forbid anyone ffrom opening the windows...including in the summertime when it was F 90 and absolutely NO ventilation system.

This movie is not going to be good. Here's a list of reasons why:

1) Michael Bay
2) The male equivalent of a live-action Care-Bears movie (just think about it for a little).
